Chvrches – Love Is Dead

The vinyl is actually blue unlike the black mockup on the website. Alt sleeve is amazing and the whole package is great!

I'm a big CHVRCHES fan and have a few vinyls of the band. Every Open Eye sounds pretty good on the (white) vinyl, but this one is really nothing special. The sound is very digital, somewhat harsh across the entire album and very compressed. While much of it origins in the original mix, I still find myself listening to the mp3 more.

I must have got lucky with my copy because the sound is clear pwith punchy bass. The only surface present is between songs and I had no warping. I bought it used from a record shop so their inspection must have weeded out any defective, scratched, or warped used copies

Other than a cardboard cover with some new artwork on it, the actual LP cover and insert is identical to previous pressings.

Is anyone else's copy opaque blue instead of transparent? I just got a copy and it is very different from the copies pictured here. Even when it is held up to the light you can't see through it.

Just bought a new copy from two different retailers. First one had to be sent back because the center hole wasn't cut enough and it wouldn't fit over the spindle, even with some pressure. The second one has some noise on the last track on the A side, and I'm wondering if it needs a good cleaning or if I should try the Clear copy others are selling on here instead. The album is fantastic, so it's disappointing when a vinyl version isn't as enjoyable to listen to.

Hey, everyone; anyone? Do any of the CD pressings come housed in a jewel case? Or at least a digipack? I have this on digital. I bought the CD version online and returned it when I opened it to confirm it was as I'd suspected a cardsleeve pkg

My experience with this pressing is OK. Vinyl is a bit noisy between songs, but should hopefully improve with some additional cleaning/playtime. The overall sound itself during the music is actually rather good.

The packaging is really good for the price (nice gatefold sleeve), and the blue vinyl looks great.

If you're thinking of buying this, i say go ahead and pull the trigger. Be sure to give it a good cleaning (or two) before playing it.
