Leading zeros removed from barcodes

I don't know if this is a co-incidence or a bug that causes leading zeros to disappear from barcodes when the entry is edited:

Any ideas? Anybody else seen these lately?

It had no effect with the bar-code. Leading Zero stayed.

Thanks! In those two examples the barcode is one long number without spaces or slashes, maybe that has something do with it? In the test example there are spaces.

I was thinking along the same lines. Also I noticed that there wasn't a description added Text / Scanned. Not sure if related though.

I was accused last night of removing a leading zero from a cat# (4 of them actually) & acquired an EI strike for my pains, even though I never touched it (honest, guv).

That is a bug, not a bad edit.

This is a "major" problem that leads to lots of incorrect data, should be fixed ASAP.

Edit: I sent a SR just now to make sure they are aware of the problem.

Thanks for the continuing folks, I have asked for all leading zero removal and auto capitalization to be removed as soon as possible.
