I am going to move the Lyntone as 'Label' to 'Manufactured By' on my applicable submissions. There are cases where there is no obvious Lyntone catalogue number.. as in this one:
http://discogs.cinepelis.org/Iris-Villiers-Jack-Laroque-And-His-Orchestra-With-Mike-Sammes-Singers-The-Well-Gather-Lilacs/release/2694686
Should the catalogue # be 'none' or take the same number as the main label?
I also submitted a record released by Lyntone as a label. It's the only one I've seen but was apparently part of a series. This obviously negates the statement that 'Lyntone is not a record label' in the profile?
http://discogs.cinepelis.org/Choir-And-Organ-At-St-Bartholomew-The-Great-Mike-Sammes-Singers-The-We-Wish-You-A-Merry-Christmas/release/3247137
Last thing... Should this Lyntone: http://discogs.cinepelis.org/artist/Lyntone be moved to the main page and changed to manufacturer?

has only one wrong credit "Producer",
pics clearly show: Produced By, imho = Made By, as on labels
cat# fields are for cat#s only,
'Manufactured By' does not get a cat# afaik .. no need for 'none' then either -

Thanks for the reply. I agree, I'll amend the bird release to 'Made By' so we only have one Lyntone.

I again agree in general. Lyntone is slightly different in that they often have their own unique numbering which should be added as it is a good guide chronologically. I'll add nothing in the catalogue # field for releases with no Lyntone code.
Any thoughts on the one submission where Lyntone is the label? Should it be mentioned in the profile?

I still think the profile is doubtful as it states that Lyntone should not be used as a standalone label, while your example shows that it can be just that.
''It cannot be submitted as a stand-alone label.''
Obviously that is incorrect. So, yes, the profile should somehow reflect this.
And if there is one release with Lyntone as proper label, there could be more of those. -

Obviously that is incorrect.
I've had a stab at amending the introduction paragraph on the profile:
New:
NOTE: Lyntone is not generally a record label, but a manufacturer. It should normally be added as the manufacturer or pressing plant. Very occasionally they self-released records with Lyntone as the stand alone label. Lyntone are best known as the producers of flexi-discs.
Old:
NOTE: Lyntone is not a record label, but a manufacturer. However, it may be added as a secondary 'label' to submissions, after the 'client' as a label. It cannot be submitted as a stand-alone label.
Anyone have any objections or amendments?

That seems similar to Lyntone in that they have their own code (NR...) printed on most of the releases. -
