MONK edited over 17 years ago
Here DJ's have the possibility to archive their own mixes easily in an own thread which they can link on their profiles as "my mixes" etc. or outside discogs, but basically to get people ing the mixes even if the thread in the Mixes forum is 'dead' for a long time, usually when the thread disappears on page 2...
For the archive it doesn't matter if the mixes are offline or online.
Your DJ profile is your own thread. Do with it whatever you want.
It doesn't matter who is on top of the topics list.
Please don't open own question or help threads (post here).
Visitors: PLEASE DON'T POST MESSAGES ANYWHERE IN THE DJ PROFILES! -

the old thread was older than 90 days and could not been replied to. :)
Forum name: "Mixes Archive" is ok, but imo sth like "DJ Profiles" would give a better description of what this is all about. Or to keep it in sortation of the each member's forum drop down menue "Mixes: DJ Profiles". Should I rename it? -

If you look at the threads they are clearly showing works, not biographies. Archive suits better... -

right. but somehow it's not stating that it's for the individual DJ's. last try "Mixes: DJ Archive" ? -

Each thread has the name of the DJ and the author with the same name beneath. I guess it's manageable to figure that out. -

somebody needs to edit his thread the next days? i could "flag" your thread till nik/teo remove that edit nonsense again. -

Yes, I wanna edit my thread Monk. Unfortunatly I can't open it, cause it was longer than a month ago that I posted. I just wanna add my latest mix... -

the 90 days thing has nothing to do with it. you can't post there anymore. i "allowed edits" in every thread now but you better post a new thread and i delete the old?
ticket: last post 90 days: pls take this off the Mixes Archive -

everybody having those instead of "-"in your playlists now caused by the unicode switch:
these are caused by writing the playlist in MS Word or any program using the long versions of "-". for fixing i'd suggest copying them to MS Word, fix those where it should be ' manually then Ctrl+F / "Replace" / replace "" with "-" -

what happened to Pacou's mixes? -
Show this post
he was banned from the mixes forum and deleted all his threads and requested to delete his archive thread. all mixes offline. -

damn I only d/l about half of them and they were good! what are Pacou and Bones bitching about anyway? it seems that every thread in every folder has some shit from them in it! -

Hi there!
I've opened a new thread because the other one remained untouched for over 90 days and I cannot post there anymore.
Please be so kind to delete it.
All my links work now: net-mix.org have already accepted 4 of my mixes and I've upgraded my waxdj.com , so I have 2 Gb worth! Of course I will fill it soon...
Thanks -

Same here. :)
Well... I mean the deleting stuff not the rest of the post. -
Show this post
ok that's the way it will work in the future since teo won't disable it for us only. -
