Guideline update request

RSG §2.1.1. this bit here: " The artists profile cannot be added until the artist has at least one release voted correct." It is obsolete now, we can add it straight away. Would be nice if s were somehow encouraged in the guidelines to actually add an at least basic profile when adding a new artist.

(Also while you're at it, could you change "ask in the Adding & Updating forum if in doubt." RSG §5.4 to "ask in the Database forum if in doubt." Since A&U Forum doesn't exist anymore.)

It should.
While the Roman Numerals Unicode characters may look "nicer" and more "compact", they may cause problems when searching.
Hardly anyone would ever search for a string like "ⅯⅯⅫⅠ", willing to type these exact characters.
I suppose that anyone, myself included, would simply type "MMXIII".

RSG 1.3.1a (required fields) is obviously not clear enough wrt track artists for releases with 'Various' as main artist, see discussion here: http://discogs.cinepelis.org/history?release=4232825#latest. Moreover bullet point 8 (split releases) is not fully consistent with 12.3.2: the former allows empty track artists in split releases, the latter says either none or all. So I suggest to change point 8 to something like "If main artist is 'Various' and on split releases, track artist is required for each track".

I agree it is not clear. And what to do in situations like on many classical releases when you have a various main artist and all tracks by different composers, orchestras etc, who becomes the main artist per track for those?
