Hello and thanks for your interest in shopping at Johnythecat Records!

Store policies (updated April 2025):

1. Payment must have cleared before we prepare your order

2. ALWAYS provide a phone number # with your shipping address if you want to avoid unnecessary delays

3. We ship about once a week. Shipments for the USA, Quebec and Ontario go out most Tuesdays. Shipments for other Canadian provinces go out on most Fridays or Mondays. Please give us at least 48 hours to find (M-F), to clean and pack your records.

4. We always declare the full value of our records in every invoice, no exceptions

5. You are fully responsible for any customs, taxes or shipping fees that are specific to your country.

***IMPORTANT INFO FOR EUROPEAN CLIENTS: we enclose the official Discogs invoice in all international transactions and we add Discogs IOSS number electronically into our label management system when applicable. However, please note that when Discogs is the agent managing this tax collection we can't control if your local agency decides to charge you for taxes again due to some misunderstanding. If ever you are charged taxes twice, please note we cannot offer you a refund as we don't collect this money in the first place.

6. If you place an order and later change your mind, we reimburse you the paid amount minus the PayPal fees. PS: If you want a reimbursement because we are on vacation and it’s taking too long to get an answer from us, this policy still applies. We announce our vacations in advance so kindly manage your expectations :)

7. Canada and US orders take 7-20 business days to arrive once they have shipped. European orders take 15-30 business days to arrive once they have shipped. Please refer to the tracking page provided to you for the latest updates.

8. All shipping rates may be subject to adjustment. Certain remote areas in Canada and International countries may have fuel surcharges that we will communicate to you when necessary. Please note we are not shipping without tracking in 2025.

9. Canadian clients: please choose the shipping option that corresponds to your province to avoid delays. If you live in a remote location or your package is a box set or something big than the usual mailer, there might be adjustments to the rate which we will communicate to you before sending. Usually these extras can be paid via our PayPal.me link or we'll send you a payment request via PayPal, once we have your ok.

10. We do our best to fulfill your order, but we can’t guarantee that all records will be available. Inventory glitches happen from time to time and some items may not be available.

11. We take holidays a few times a year and we don't do shipments during this time. When we go on holidays we announce it here and on our cover photo in our storefront.

12. Note on return addresses: we use various batching services that use a PO box type address as the return address - these addresses may sometimes be in the US or in other parts of Canada. This does NOT mean we are shipping from there. Our real address is in Verdun, Canada.
