New rates for US buyers. Sorry we have to do this, again!
Expect a minimum $5 for non-gatefold cover LP's or up to 3 singles/cds. Priority Mail is about $12.
In some instances USPS Ground Advantage is only a few cents more and is typically quicker delivery time. For those cases we will upgrade the service with no additional cost to you.

Some EU destinations were getting over quoted. Canada too.
London is typically $20 for a regular LP, typically less for a 7" or cd.

If something doesn't seem right please advise and I'll get a proper quote for you and refund any overages as needed.

The Basics
---------------
Shipping is calculated by weight. Base rate ($5.50) is for US packages up to 1 lb.
Your item(s) will typically be in the mail next business day after payment received.

Almost all items have been play graded & rated accordingly. Audio samples taken straight off the stereo to cellphone.
I typically run a .7 diamond tip MMC, setting tracking force .5 to 1 gram heavier when play grading 7" singles.

For magnetic media items, the 'Media' grade is typically a play grade and the 'Sleeve' grade will reflect the visual appearance of the item. Jewel cases are typically not included in the grading but do I try to mention if anything is less than perfect. 8-tracks will almost always come without a slipcase. Carts can be overhauled (new pads and foil splice installed) for an additional $2 if requested.

Additional note: 40+ year old magnetic media can be subject to random deterioration and buyers assume some risks here. All grading is effective at the time it was graded. Felt pads can and do fall off while in transit. All carts should be re-inspected before attempting to play them. Weird things happen in transit. I do appreciate your understanding in dealing with these vintage audio items.

Unless noted, all items have played through without any issue on my equipment. VG and better graded records are very clean and playable without any serious impediments. Even my GD rated records typically play reasonably well on my equipment but I can not guarantee those G+ and lower graded items will reproduce the same results on your setup(s). Any of these lower quality graded items assume some risk.

~ TYPICAL SHIPPING RATES FOR USA ~
US shipping default is by USPS Media Mail (with tracking numbers always included) unless otherwise requested.
Their much fasted Priority service is available at additional expense. Insurance is also available for additional cost if interested.

7"s & 45 RPM Singles, CD's & Tapes count as small items. LP's 12"s, picture discs and open reel tapes = large items.
Expect to pay about $5 for 1 large item or up to 3 smaller items, (Up to 1 lb) using Media Mail rates
Priority mail is $12.50

Please note: LP's with gatefold covers typically push package weight just over the 1 lb threshold.

~ INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING RATES ~

Expect to pay upwards of $20-25 for LP's and $16 for 7"s & CD's using the most basic "USPS First Class International" service.
This is slow and offers only very limited tracking information. They state 6-8 weeks for delivery.

The alternative is 'Priority International' which claims a 6-10 day delivery to most countries and offers better package tracking.
It is however expensive, typically costing $50-60 for 1-2 albums.

I have shipped many items using the basic First Class service and feel that it is mostly reliable. Please understand that once the package leaves the USA tracking services get a lot less predictable, really depends on the destination country.

Feel free to suggest any other shipping service(s) that you'd prefer to use. I am always open to suggestions and happy to work with you to get the best deal possible.

Italy and Russia: Any dispatches to these countries is 100% at the buyer's risk. I have had many successful deliveries to these countries but there was an incident which led to me flagging them.

DROP SHIPPERS using PAYPAL be sure your mailing address on the Paypal is correct for where you want the package to go.
My shipping labels are now processed by PirateShip so if your Paypal address is from another country, it will not always offer local shipping rates as an option and the label printed will be wrong wasting both time and money. I will have to manually edit your address, purchase a new label and we both lose the shipping discount. If your address is not correct before the purchase, there will be an additional $1 charge to process a new label. Sorry to have to impose this but it's been happening more and more causing delays for other customers and additional costs for me.

~ PACKAGE TRACKING~
Tracking numbers will be posted in the Discogs order thread, usually before the package leaves my possession.
Please understand that I can not refund shipping charges once the service has been paid for.
Once package has been accepted by the mail system it is government property so I can not be held personally responsible for lost or damaged parcels. If you do not have a secure place to receive your packages please do not blame me for any loss incurred by those pesky porch pirates.

~ SEALED ITEM INSPECTION POLICY!
Happy to open sealed items for inspection or verification of pressing plant, colored vinyl etc. after purchase of course.
There is a 50% restocking fee if you wish to cancel purchase after inspection.

Just an old geezer whos been collecting records for over 50 years. I treat my customers as I like to be treated, as friends who look out for each other. Providing detailed and accurate descriptions is just common sense so I don't hide flaws. Some would even say that I am a bit obsessive about finding em. Most buyers appreciate this level of accuracy. Always happy to provide hi-res pics or sound samples if needed, just ask and provide an email address or text # for me to send the info to.
