Soy un gran irador d DEPECHE MODE...desde New Life, Photographic, A question of time, Shame....todo de ellos...Mis preferidos son 'Songs of faith and devotion' y ' ULTRA'.... Luego ' Precious' del 'Playing the ángel, pues me gusta....Pero SPIRIT....me parece HORROROSO, siento decirlo, pero es horrible....Para mí, naturalmente..

This is a great pressing no noise on mine and really sounds 👌 spatial. Not my favorite and political for its time bit a few good tunes here. Somehow got mine for 4.50 new. If you don't have it and need it get it.

As someone said before, great pressing but such a weak album! Records are silent overall with some sporadic pop or crack here and there but very unusual. This is the best way to listen to this album in my opinion.

I would say this: this album sounds insane on vinyl. Very very good. The music? Ok, I own everything they've ever done, and these songs aren't THAT bad at all. Who else makes music even in 2022 (let alone 2017 when this was done) at this level.

I’ve followed DM since I first heard Photographic on the Some Bizarre album. Most of the journey has been a mix of excitement and great tunes with the occasional disappointment. However this travesty may well be the straw that broke the camels back for me. For starters it sounds unfinished and rushed. The songs themselves are mediocre and uninspiring, and somebody needs to buy Anton a new box of crayons. Where’s the revolution? Certainly not here. Bad.

Update. March 2024 and Memento Mori has been out for a year and thankfully has wiped the floor with Spirit. I still stand by my criticisms of Spirit. Its a tough listen. But with MM Dave and Martin can hold their heads up high. Fletch, God rest his soul, would be proud.

An excellent album, *You move* a typical DM track although my favourite is *Cover Me*, an incredibly haunting track and great video. It's so good it deserves to be the title music of a sci-fi epic!

Terrible album; every song is bland and lacks energy or good composition. Where are the cuts like "See You" or "Get The Balance Right"? Martin needs to relearn what a "melody" is. F++++

Congrats Dave+Co......"Exsleeper",PTA, SOTU, DeMa..were all boring or even small disasters... this here "Spirit" is the best of the bunch of post-Ultra phase - does perhaps not mean so much considering how few tracks grabbed me from the named albums :( Also the sound quality/mastering is better again.

This pressing is infuriating. Mixing is great. But I have listened to three copies, and all of them have short bursts of non fill on side B in the left channel, in the same places. Tried with three very different cartridges and turntables, and the result is always the same. Didn't anyone listen to the test pressing with headphones before giving it an OK?
