Nothing wrong with my copy. It’s quiet, makes no noise and plays well. If I’m being picky I’d say it’s not quite as punchy as I would like in certain tracks but overall it sounds good and his voice comes through great. I take the point re bass and glad I have 2 REL subs working with the B&Ws . Played on Rega P10 with aura phono.

Reg planar 3 + Exact Cartridge + Ifi Zen phono pre amp. No pops or cracks... Nice sound, but some songs a little lower, specially the voices. Good bass

Vinyl front-end used for this review:
        Rega P3:RB880 tonearm,Denon DL103r & DL160
Phono Stage:Whest Audio TWO.2 phono stage.

Had to purchase this twice as my first copy from amazon was "off center" on both sides as - a record CAN`T be off center on "one side" only.....physically impossible.
Anyway with my 2nd copy this is not "perfect" but plays (now after a few upgrades & tweaks to the system) absolutely fine, gone are most if not all of the ruff sounding pressing that can be heard on some tracks. It`s a pressing that requires you to have your turntable set-up perfectly - or the disc/s seem to sound fairly bad.
Once you have a perfectly set up vinyl front end this version is really good for the price, highs, mids and the low-end is on point.
No real fillers on this LP with some absolute Killer of a track "Cowboys and Angels" being one.
Highly recommended for a good copy if you get a dud, send it back min hope for a good one,it`s more than worth it!

My copy is clean with no audible faults. Mastering is so-so; vocals are a little recessed, and a little bright. Sound quality tends to vary track to track. The album definitely needs a serious remaster, and probably a little bit of tweaking on the mix. Artwork is solid - as is the inner sleeve which is quite heavy-duty.

Guess i'm also one of the lucky ones .... my copy is flat , very few pops or clicks and sounds very nice to my ears .
            Critical listener here.

My copy from an Australian retail store in December 2022, via post, is clean, flat and sounds great; impressive even. Only drama is the thick card inner sleeve is too tight - struggled to get the record out, but then it was never going back in that anyway.

This is one of the biggest outrages ever reissued. Of course, Sony never responded to inquiries. They don't need that. The same currently with all Older pressings. A shame

My copy is very clean sounding, no pops and clicks . But in some tracks the bass is very light. My subwoofer is needed here more then usual.
Altogether a Beautiful listening and great George Michael record.

Horrible pressing out of the sleeve. Warped. pop's and clicks. Cleaned with Pro-Ject VCE. Still terrible. Wish I was one of the lucky ones but I'm afraid I'm with the other folks you have mentioned issues.

I'm listening to it now, and I don't understand the negative comments... Mine sounds just fine.
