Edited 6 years agoJust the plain old black vinyl for me on this one but what a record! I love all Oh Sees' recent material but this is probably my favourite as it veers toward the kind of trippy, blissed out psychedelia at which they really excel. You really have to give some kudos to John Dwyer and co for producing such an excellent quality vinyl package on these 45 rpm releases. Not sure what the source is and how they are cut but they sound superb on my system. Some reviewers are critical of the lengthy jams on this and Smote Reverser but I'm not sure they understand the jazz influences on Oh Sees as well as the whole San Francisco-Grateful Dead heritage. Just check out that guitar sound over the top of the bass and drums on Nervous Tech - pure ecstasy.
