I think is good, but not perfect I have get remastered album versions and sound damn good, but this one has a harsh tone when the high pitch parts come across, it goes away turning up the volume, and even so sounds kinda static. I do not have any issues with other lps, but this one has that "particular thing" with it, but no worries, unless you're audiophile this will suck, but if you're just a collector, this one is suitable and has very nice design.

Regarding the PICTURE LP (that doesn't have its own entry on Discogs) from the box: Due to its super loud surface noise, it is definitely the worst sounding album in my collection.
And i am missing the "scythe" sound ;)

Anyone elses copy of this a semitone or two higher than the original release? Mines this exact copy with the poster included.

"Nemesis Divina" is a good old classic for a Sunday evening, which is guaranteed to give pleasure to the listener.

It's good that in the days of acquaintance with the band and creativity, that now. Now, of course, this is no longer a discovery or a revelation, but it sounds and listens cool. This record practically embodies the monumental foundation of Scandinavian Black Metal and is one of the best in it. Yes, the band was overtaken by commercial success, and then the craving for creative experiments prevailed over tradition. But this album is recorded as recorded and Mother North is Mother North. As they say, you can't throw out the words from a song... This is a product of its time, the peak point of the band at the peak time for the genre. If such an album had been recorded a couple of years earlier, it would simply not have been understood and accepted, while if it had been released a couple of years later, the pantheon of greats would have already been occupied. Well, without the iconic Mother North clip, many people's impressions would not be so expressive. How many people became fans of Satyricon just after seeing the first five seconds of the clip, where Satyr in full ammunition and corpsepaint hits the cross with an axe? If still analyze the record, then everything is very interestingly mixed up here, and the raw sound, backed up by frantic drums from Frost, and the pomposity achieved by the keys, choirs and piano, and post-apocalyptic industrial on the opening track and immersion in the Middle Ages. There is an atmosphere, there is energy, there is idea, there is creative thinking, this album has really ed the test of time.

The reissue on vinyl turned out to be quite good. Yes, there are some differences from the original 1996 version, but they definitely won't spoil the listening experience. Let's start with the fact that technically the recording has DR12, which well can not be called a "flat sound". The balance is dominated by the drums and the voice, but what else could the drummer and vocalist do with the recording? If we compare it with the CD version, then the vinyl version obviously has a more elastic bass. As for the guitars, for the sake of readability of the parts and purity of sound, there was clearly compression in the original, it also remained in the remaster (although the ghost of that "necrosound" still hovers here). Otherwise, there is high-quality product - perfectly smooth heavy vinyl with excellent playback.

The gatefold design is at a good level - good image resolution, there is a printing envelope and a small poster. In general, if we compare it with the CD reissue, then the design there is incomparably more informative and richer. In this case, it would be correct to pack vinyl in an envelope with protection, but to make a full-fledged commemorative booklet for a couple of pages. After all, the cult album has been reissued! This album still has great commercial potential and it would be great to see a more interesting edition by the next memorable date. But even this regular edition turned out to be quite worthy in of the totality of quality characteristics.

This pressing sounds higher pitch than CD and digital version. Not a good press. All my other records sound fine so it's not an issue with my drive belt or setup.

yes the removal of the scythe slicing sample is lame..... but other than that everything else is great! plus the bonus poster is killer!! the gatefold is nice Nocturno Culto is credited with that name instead of Kveldulv which he was called on the og cd version from 1997. The sound is more or less just like the og cd version i hear no real improvements, I am happy to have it on vinyl however & the rest of the back catalog needs to be made available on vinyl too!! Screw all these knockoffs selling for hundreds of dollars >:(

I have the gold version and experience the sound being over-compressed during the first songs. The sound suddenly dips and goes back up. It happens a couple of times on Side A. Anyone noticed that on this copy?
