This one is a slow burner and even though I bought it in 2001 on CD and 2003 on vinyl it’s an album that creates the illusion of sounding different each time you listen to it!
While Moon Safari was a deliberate stylistic statement, Hertz is subtle and more subdued with dense and complex songs.
It’s a long album too and you have to be in the mood for the trip or you’ll miss out.

Just compared this original pressing from 2001 (Europe) and the repress from 2015 (I have both). The repress has to much hi-frequency. Original pressing has a more "spatial" sound, a deep and warmth sound. In this case, the original pressing is as far beter and if you hesitate, buy the original.

I bought this album new in 2001 and it has finally made me stop buying LP's if they were pressed by MPO. Like on so many other MPO pressings I've bought around that time, both LP's are terribly off-centre which is extremely annoying on music like this. On top of that, People In The City on side C has two bubbles in the vinyl that make the needle jump, the label on side C is damaged and side D has two labels stuck upon each other.

Recording, audio mastering, cutting and pressing very well done. 'Silent' vinyl with great dynamics.

You guys are right: I was never that into this album when it came out, but since my CD got mislaid I looked for an upgrade and managed to get a sealed vinyl copy off eBay for £10.
Best tenner I’ve ever spent! And what a great album, I wish I’d bought this on LP first time around- but then I probably wouldn’t have got this reissue!
Well worth a re-listen if you haven’t heard it for a while.

An amazing press and for me, the best Air album of all. A true timeless classic.

Its a great sounding release - I am surprised it hasn't had any comments.

Edit - I’m back again to reinforce this is one hell of a release and should be in your audiophile showcase, well in everyone’s electronic audiophile collection. It’s so deep, subsonic bass, with incredible definition, but then again it was cut by Nils (RIP) at the Exchange. He was the premier electronic mastering engineer of the 90’s / 2000’s
