Edited 18 years agoIt's a dusky sunday morning & I arrive home from a night out. It had been a tough night. Eventually I fall asleep.
Drifting in & out of consciousness I swear I can hear sounds emitting from the blackness in my room, almost from the walls themselves. Sounds of echoing distant chords, slight murmurs of people chatting away. I sleep & dream of a seaside at a time that is distant to me, yet I warm to the familiarity. Sounds overhead in the sky match the mood of this wondrous alien place. I drift more.
A girl appears & whispers something to me, it is a beautiful girl & we sit & listen to the sounds around us.
At the end of a pier is man playing what seems like a guitar in a dusky seahaze.
The words are unclear yet soothing & melancholic at the same time.
Pub conjures many sonic images with this album & these are mine. This is deep listening, I hope the words speak for it in the most complimentary way. We can all sleep better now.
