Edited 4 years agoI heard this was a band that mix rock and club music, and in my head that just doesn't really work, but this album was completely different than what I expected. The sound is smart, funky and textured, every track stands out on it's own, and the tracks build up and explode with energy. The album does feel like there is a monster in the studio, who keeps scarring the band, and so the band play like crazy, it's just full of energy, but very controlled. This is one of my new favourite albums, and an album that will get a lot of play in my ears.
Stand Out tracks: Get Innocuous!, Someone Great & All My Friends -
I have the 2016 vinyl pressing of this released in September. The deadwax doesn't match anything listed. Looks like An 'upside down V' and an 'r' is inscribed by the mastering engineer on side A as a signature with '+r' on side B. Can't seem to find any engineer who matches this or any clue as to where and what source it was mastered from. Anyone have an idea?
