There's not much to say about this other than that it's one of the greatest albums of all time. It's the perfect atmosphere and mood if this is the type of person you are or music you are into. Anxiety release.
Rating: PERFECT 10/10 -
Edited 18 years agoThis was the album that encouraged me to pay attention to indie rock. Everything is good here: the compulsive rhythms that dominate the expression of every instrument, the emotive meanderings between aggression and quiescence, the male and female vocals, the LONG, sparse, pretty intro, followed by the full frontal assault of "Shiner." It was so good I got out an old white Winston cigarettes t-shirt and a Sharpie marker, made myself my very own Rodan shirt, and called them my new favourite band. Well, one of them. Still are.
