Not even CD quality. How can so many people think this sounds good? It sucks.

I like the Beatles but this comp sounds terrible to me... I'm very disappointed. If it would be my very first with Beatles, I might never get back to them. Any of my old LPs sound better and more enjoyable to me. Even Antrop Russian pirates. Shots fired, Apple!

especially for sealed copies - look at the copyright text on the back cover below the UPC...look for the artwork 2018 copyright...that tells which version of the 2015 remaster you have.

Not a massive fan but like the era, if you have all The Beatles albums this is no use to you, but if you just want a collection of their number 1s then this is the one to get. For the person below who said Please Please Me should have been included, well not really as it only reached number 2 in the charts. Seems like there is a bit of added bass but not OTT.

Lo compre en CD cuando salió en el 2000s y me pareció genial, remasterizado en digital.... pero ahora que lo conseguí en tecnología análoga me voló la mente, no tengo gran colección de ellos en Vinyl; algunas versiones de éxitos de los 70s, los Past Master de los 80s, otras de las excelsas Mezclas de Giles Martin y dos en MONOAURAL, el Revolver y del White Álbum.. pero esto, en sonido supera todo.. Suena fresco y jovial.. los graves profundos pero equilibrados en frecuencias medias y altas, sin clics ni scratch.. los efectos de estudio, cuerdas, metales, coros y voces, todo esta aquí en armonía, nunca había escuchado tan en "el presente" a the Beatles.
De la tapa, los insert y las fundas todo es excelso, de gran calidad, solo como mejora, coloqué los vinilos (después de una gran limpieza) dentro de fundas plásticas genéricas, el papel o cartón contamina con el tiempo el surco.

RESUMEN;
Si, son las canciones de éxitos, las que sonaron duro en la radio, las de los gritos en los estadios, las que pusieron nuestros padres hasta el cansancio... pero escucha Lady Madonna, From me to you o Penny Lane ahora, en este LP versión 2015 prensado en Alemania (checar el degradado del 1 en el doblez de la tapa para corroborar si es 2015 o 2018) y agasaja el oído tomando otra perspectiva de la banda Pop mas talentosa que a tocado un estudio.

I bought this as a cd years ago when I was teenager. I always found it to be a great compilation and gateway album for Beatles newbies. This led me to collecting years of Beatles records. I bought this on vinyl recently on sale from target for like $20 bucks a total steal, I couldn’t resist.

Low and behold it sounds really good.
I noticed it immediately how all the instruments were more separated and clearer. I thought I was imagining things so I pulled out record after record of older releases. Straight across the board the songs just felt better and sounded more open on this release. Its definitely a really nice mix and totally a great step forward.

Repressed again for sure.... took me three attempts to get a fully listenable one.... first two were both badly audibly non filled. Onto this third copy and while theres a small spot of stitching visible on side 1, its mercifully below audible annoyance so 3rd times a charm! Flat and well centered to boot. I'd bet the early pressings were alot better but this is Optimal post Covid outbreak and they seem like an entirely different (for worse) outfit than they once were! Persistence and easy returns are the key to good Optimal pressings now!

I think these must've gotten a recent repress, as I see all kinds of new copies popping up for sale. ;)

The Beatles are arguably one of, if not, the most influential bands of the 20th Century. 1 has all of the best Beatles songs arranged in a perfect listening order, it has also a great master as they sound great on the system I currently have. My favourite tracks are 'Love me do' and 'Eleanor Rigby' which are two of the numerous great songs included on this compilation. I would definitely recommend picking this up if you happen to see it in a local record store however, as the Beatles aren't my favourite band I only listen to this occasionally.
