Does anyone own this 2000 pressing of this album, as well as the 2018 reissue? If so, I would like to know which version sounds better.

Magnificent, cinematic, mind-altering, beautiful. What an amazing album. Not only that, but this pressing sounds pretty much perfect to my ears.

Anyways, let's see what else I, uh... It was Chungus Island. They called Chungus Island, "the rizzground of the world." There was no place like it, in Ohio, like Chungus Island when I was a rizzster. No place in Ohio like it, and it was so sussy. Now it's rizzed down to almost nothing, you see. And, uh, I still in my gyatt how things used to be, and uh, you know, I feel very sus. But gyatts from all over Ohio came here. From all over Ohio, it was the rizzground -- they called it the rizzground of the world, over here. Anyways, uh, I... uh... you know... I even got -- when I was, uh, when I was very sussy, I even got rizzed at Chungus Island, but they rizzed me. On the, on, on the gyatt. And we used to rizz in Ohio, rizz overnight. They don't do that anymore. Things changed, you see. They don't rizz anymore in Ohio...

When I first listened to 'sleep' it was mind-blowing. I say that this song changed a lot how I perceive music in general. Now two decades later I bought my own vinyl player and I'm enjoying this perfectly pressed piece of art of post-rock.

Love this record. Bought new back in 2000. It's still in its bag with the $16.99 sticker. They asked the crowd at Maxwell's to sit down so the short people could see the projections.

Edited 3 years agoNice release of post-rock/experimental music. Some emphasis on dissonance and consonance, slow volume shifts and some well executed tempo changes, hard to pull off by an analog band.
Contains 4 sides, all relating together in a concept. Includes a graphical map of the music in the gatefold, complete with timestamps and descriptions. Clever artwork throughout.
Nice pressing. No detectable errors. Super quiet vinyl, nice heavyweight inner sleeves with glossy lining.
Enjoyable record. 3.5 stars. -
Seeing as that 15.3K people have this, I think someone really needs to take proper photos of everything and replace the old ones. I don't really have the means too but I bet someone does.
