Reviews
-
The earlier Far Out pressing (non gatefold) sounded punchier with more pronounced bass, although my copy had a bit of surface noise and pops. This pressing sounds compressed and muffled.
-
Double dipped and got a good one.
My previous review lamented the non filled mess that was my first copy. MPO went through a horrible 2019-2021 where almost every LP i had from them was a noisy rip fest die to these unformed grooves.
This 2nd copy ive just acquired is much better. Theres a bit of dish warp but its well centered and free of groove defects. MPO have definately upped their game and props to them for that. This hobby demands quality over quantity.
Adide from the lovely near silent surface here, the mastering is also on point. Very clean, very nice sounding indeed. No nasties. Wonderful music, Azymuth are the best group out of Brazil ever!!! -
Outstanding pressing, very dynamic.
Zero defaults.
Gatefold is nice.
Music is fantastic but you know it. -
This is such an incredible pressing. Could not be more happier. Super quiet and GREAT dynamics. Playing thru a Rega Planar 8 with Ania cart, Rega Brio Amp, Parks Audio Puffin pre-amp and Wharefdale 85 Lintons. SUBLIME

I love my just copped copy of this. Seems like a new batch has been released. No complaints about this pressing - all things considered this is probably the best sounding vinyl version available. Far Out does good work. Great value at this price for a timeless classic.
-
Sealed copy. Major scratch on side B impacting last three songs, including "Morning" which may be the best track on the album. Just so disappointing.
-
A held off on buying this after reading the negative comments, but finally gave in and ordered a copy.
The good news is that there are no problems with non-fill, distortion or crackle on my copy and the mastering is excellent. The music sounds great. The slightly less good news is that side A is pressed a tiny bit off-center, but it's not a big deal because it's hardly noticeable. The bad news is that there was a scratch on side B, affecting 2-3 songs on that side. Ha ha... The wonderful, unpredictable world of vinyl. It's like a magical lottery for masochists. Gotta love it! -
I saw the MPO logo the second i pulled my first copy out the sleeve... and my heart sank i little. My heart sank more seeing side 1 has some pretty bad non fill. My heart sank even further seeing even more extensive non fill on side 2.
On the platter things get even worse at side 1 is a swinging tonearm from being well off centre. Side 2 is better centred but now reveals an edge warp. I suppose the label looks quite cool when it spins? Im trying for a single positive here!
But alas no... another MPO write off. They just cant press a single record correctly! If id been smart enough to check before hand having experienced the 95% failed rate with MPO to date id have avoided this one entirely!
I am astonished people claim to have good copies of this, but i reckon they are kept sealed for a value hike! -

Great pressing , sounds real good. I have not experienced any distorsions on the last Track as others mentioned ! Perfect.
