Edited 10 months agoJesus, I really don´t know why so many people were and are underwhelmed by this album. I liked it instantly back then and still think it is a great one. Sure, he did better before, but you can´t always bring one masterpiece after another. Comparing this with recent output ... I´m so bored by his latest ones and the current "The Death Of Slim Shady". This one here deserves definitely more appreciation. It offers so much crazy quality and is full of strong material, the man showed bars, for me this is still the "old Eminem" in great form, I can rap & sing so many along, laugh and all that. That beat of "Like Toy Soldiers" and the lyrics are fantastic, "Mosh" pushes straight and in your face, "Puke" gives middlefingers, the weird & funny "My 1st Single" with these memorable background noises, "Rain Man", of course the hit "Mockingbird" ...so much on it and just go back and compare it with his latest ones, especially the boring and calculated "Death Of Slim Shady". Great pressing too!

Pretty great album. Overall sound is nice and clear. On my pressing there is high sibilance on Like Toy Soldiers and parts of Spend Some Time.

The vinyl version of this never went out of print for 13 years according to Discogs. That doesnt really make sense to me. Anyone know for sure if the current one in stores is a reissue or considered "original" pressing? Aftermath/Shady uses the same catalog #s for original pressings and reissues. Can an Eminem expert please clear this up?
