The best four song opening to an album I've ever heard, along with Revolver. This sounds great and until we get a stereo remix, the mono is the way to go.

Edited one year agoOh yeah…definitely has that mono punch I like.
Sounds great. A “-2” stereo copy sounds good too
But it lacks the punch and directness of this mono. Still..a -2 tube cut stereo does sound more open sometimes. Mono still wins overall.
Just my opinion…explore for yourselves.
We don’t all have the same ears. Peace ✌️ -
These mono reissues always amaze me, I've listened to mine often since I got them in 2015. They are my favorite records that I own. Every detail was done so well, even down to the packaging.
As soon as this album begins with "It Won't Be Long" you know it's going to be a great time. This is an urgent record that I can't help but sing along to. I can't imagine owning any other pressing but this one. -
Just got mine today, and dare I say this is possibly one of the best sounding records in my collection. Pure bliss with no noise or issue whatsoever. Makes me appreciate the album even more so.

Edited 2 years agoI can only compare this to the mono cd box and the original cd releases. All I can say is "what an experience" ..love the Beatles...want to hear what they sounded like for real. Get these mono releases. Enuff said. Clean Quiet Flat vinyl and the packaging is VERY nice. BTW the Mono Cds are no slouch either.

Edited 4 years agoThis is the pressing you want. Stop wasting your time trying to find an original jobete first press, most of them have terrible groove distortion from being played on crap old equipment. The sound is well balanced while retaining that gnarly original feel, now with fuller bass and clearer treble. The clarity in "Till There Was You" is devine and it is wonderful to hear tracks like "Mr Postman" & "Money" without inner groove distortion. These 2014 mono pressings will do nothing but rise in value over time.

A lovely pressing - sounds as fresh as if you picked it up in London or Liverpool back in November 1963 - clear, bright and impactful, with an old-time Rock n Roll sound stage - a bit of a garage feel, really, the boys are really putting it out there, still eager to earn their reputation before becoming iconic legends. Great that they have decided to Package things like in the UK and make available in the USA instead of the Capitol Records abominations done in the 60's. Art as the artist intended not the suits and ties...get this for your collection.
