As others have mentioned, later versions with the square sticker and “masterdisk SH” in the runouts sound significantly better than the early reviews of this pressing. My records are paper flat and don’t have the off-center hole on record 2. But as others have noted “Money, Power, Glory” sounds significantly worse than the rest of the record with harsh sibilance, especially during the first verse.
Personally I’m satisfied with this pressing, although I may consider upgrading to the deluxe UK version down the road. -
Not a good pressing for such a good album. My copy doesn’t sound that bad but the 2nd LPs center label is warped. Me personally I think it should be a gatefold like the deluxe sense it’s a 2 LP. At least it comes with a poster

Everyone’s previous comments here are correct. This pressing is snap, crackle, pop. LP 1 is badly dished. LP 2 has a lazily cut center hole, very tight. Pretty When You Cry has some of the worst loud pops. Agree about Cruel World and BB sounding chaotic, but I think it’s in a good way. Very immersive. This album was meant to be listened to on vinyl and aside from the noise I think it is very well mastered, but bad pressings.

This is my favorite album of all time, but it pains me to say this pressing is not great. The UK 180g pressing with the deluxe tracks is THE pressing to get. I would avoid this one if you can. Low quality, paper-lite vinyl, and just not great quality.

Not a great pressing but def not unlistenable. Starting with the presentation, a gatefold would be appreciated but otherwise I like the packaging, insert and labels are pretty and the sleeve is good quality. Both discs on my copy have some warping and arrived covered in scratches and scuffs and other strange marks, a lot of which affect playback and even aside from that my copy is still quite noisy and full of pops and clicks. Mastering for the most part is good, some songs feel really chaotic overwhelming for some reason in a way I never felt when streaming the album (specifically cruel world and Brooklyn baby) and there is a lot of Sibilance on Money Power Glory but for the most part the mastering is decent and some moments sound really good! As a whole I’m def disappointed by my copy but not nescisarily unhappy. Do I still reccomend this? Of course. Just don’t expect audiophile quality.

Mine is the new repress with the square, non-rounded hype sticker and MASTERDISK SH in the runouts. Sound quality wise, it's pretty good. Mostly quiet vinyl save for a few crackles every now and then. Discs aren't 180g but were both flat upon opening. The only problem that I had was the sibilance on "Money Power Glory", an issue I've seen echoed before, but other than that, this release (at least, the newer represses) sounds perfectly fine.
