Edited 19 years agoLots of hype about this album being the rebirth of the Hillage/Giraudy ambient sound of System 7 following Incantado. Don't get me wrong, there are some superbly mellow and confident tracks but I feel they have lost some of the verve of the Steve Hillage's gliss guitar riff which was the hallmark of Gong and the steady pulse of System 7. Some tracks remind me of the very mellow sounds of Orb and Anugama (Shamanic Dream II). A pleasant listen - the first track starts with so much promise but never really achieves it...... but that's what was said about 'Green' , arguably Steve's best album.
