Mine sounds ok - not bad. There are some spots of noise but only during run ins... the records were quite dirty and the inner sleeves cheap paper , but otherwise i am happy enough as i never expect much from hip hop vinyl in of QC.

My copy also sounds pretty good .. little bit of surface noise in quiet sections but pretty happy w this press

I have to say my copy sounds really good, clean no distortion. I guess it's luck of the draw on this one.

Edited 4 years agoJust gave my copy of this a spin and it sounds fine to me. No issues on Jazzy Belle as others have stated. Seems to be a mixed bag in of QC for this pressing, but my copy sounds good.

Poor QC on these, had flakes of vinyl cuttings on the b side of one of the records. There is also some dimpling on these records, coupled with cheap innersleeves not a lot of expense or care taken on these pressings. Some warping also which affects trackability, most noted on the run-in but after that tracks ok. Sound for me is a little dissapointing but its not horrible as some here are describing, perhaps I got a bit luckier with my press. I'd give this record a 6/10 sound is there, bit of surface noise and lacks some clarity but it is enjoyable.

Edited 5 years agoMight be the worst press I have in my whole collection. Side A and C sounds like an old record that hasn't been taken care of in the slightest and on top up that there are random spots of distortion. Side B and D are way better and mostly sounds fine. I'm a huge fan of the album which is why I bought it but I'd definitely recommend others to avoid this press.

I did not have any of the sound distortion issues as stated by others, but it does seem to be recorded quieter than the original recordings.
