anybody else’s copy of this have a pressing defect on side 2 track 2? i know these old byg records are always noisy and usually poorly recorded, but this sounds specifically like a pressing issue- it’s a tearing sound sympathetic to quiet parts of the song that have a loud bit coming up on the next revolution of the record. almost sounds like the edge of one groove is cut into the other or something.
even more strange is that this issue is present on my copies of both french issues of this album that are currently listed on discogs, although the issue is much more apparent on this run for me. i’m positive it’s not a turntable calibration thing.
