Atlantic red and plum label with Superhype / Jewel Music credits on both labels.
Fully laminated sleeve with orange lettering and the grey stripe across the base of the front cover. This issue has the corrected stamped matrix number on both sides which the second 8 A-side and third 8 B-side from left have been struck through and replaced with an hand-etched scratched out 8 number. This one was slightly later issue of the 1st Pressing variation Superhype Music Credit labels. This 1st Pressing variation has Turquoise sleeve lettering and Superhype Music/Jewel Music Publishing credits labels.
This 1st Pressing variation has Turquoise sleeve lettering and Superhype Music/Jewel Music Publishing credits labels. This issue has on side one the "Superhype mis-credit label", label lists songs 1, "3", 4 as Superhype Music and then 3 again as Jewel Music.
This 1st Pressing variation has Orange sleeve lettering with grey stripe across the base of the front cover and (Superhype Music/Jewel Music Publishing credits labels as this one).

Such an incredible sounding record - just one of the bets in my collection to listen to. Wish I was a bigger Led Zeppelin fan.

Question - My copy fits into none of the above Orange writing cover /PLum label / Warner seven arts credits / Matrix with scratched out 8 and 7 put in above / Grey stripe cover!

Edited 9 years agoWhat is NOT said here is that the machine stamped '8' that has been scratched out is actually CORRECT. The master disc engineer who scratched out the 8 replaced it with a '7' which has been changed back to an '8' on both sides of some versions
A completely pointless exercise!
There are versions where only side 1 has been altered in this way.
Never clear what the stamped numbers after the A//1 and B//1 are however our versions has '1 2 3 4' on side one and '1 2 4' on side 2.
