Edited one year agoI’ve got dozens of Network 12”s from my early 90’s DJing in Glasgow and most of them are killer…but Neal Howard’s is defo in the Top Five! An essential 12” for anyone into Detroit Techno.
My personal favourites are “Indulge (Club House mix)” and “To Be Or Not To Be (Bad Boy Bill mix)” -

They didn't play it here in the clubs in Western Australia, but I found it on the "Bio Rhythm" CDs. Reminds me of an upbeat "Elements" (Psyche) ; well ahead of it's time, Neal Howard deserves a gosh-darned all-time award for this, it hasn't aged in over 30 years. What an amazing creation! -
Detroit techno at its best days, if you like Transmat etc.. you will like this that rocked back in the day and a perfect release for Network UK to kick off -
Edited 7 years agoThis is a bit of a forgotten and underrated tune.
Indulge is one of my favorite all time tracks - rich piano lines. quirky synths and driving percussion, creating a truly inspiring uplifting classic techno track with soul. Popular with DJ's when released, but has never really be recognized in the same way other tunes have for some reason. This is a must for any old school / Detroit fan, its also on one of the Bio Rhythms comps.
This is a real gem of a tune & still sounds amazing today. -

First heard this track on Express Record's "Dance Detroit Dance" compilation. The ambiance of this track is so spiritual. I include this track in the soundtrack of my life and DJ

I first heard this on the Cream mix CD that Darren Emerson did back in 97 and I was genuinely shocked it was a seven year old tune because it was so good I couldn't believe it wasn't more celebrated. Absolutely awesome track this is still relatively unknown for some reason.
