Tomas Anderson apparently made this track to accompany him when he was doing dishes because he didn't like washing up. This track in its original form is a simple yet effective analog ditty.

Tiga's remix is a party piece and along with its clever use of N.E.R.D.'s beat from 'Drop it like it's hot' and percussion from Sylvester/Patrick Cowley, it's a winner.

The success of this track eventually made Andersson hate this track as he wanted to do other things and all label people & A&R's wanted was the part 2. Andersson would eventually do a remake of this track for the Ström compilation "Musiken vi hatar" (Translation: "The music we hate"). Under his new project, along with Jacques C, known as Værelsen (danish for "The Creature"), he would parody his hit by mangling, distorting and re-shaping "Washing Up".

Massive hit in whatever you might call it ... By accident pushed the 33 instead of 45 button in the middle of the Tiga mix and ... Surprise ... Tiga used a chunk of Nerd's trademark rhythm of Snoop's "Drop it like it hot" ... Interesting .....
