Jean-Claude Vannier – L'Enfant Assassin Des Mouches

This is unquestionably a superb record but for the sake of transparency a few observations need to be considered. Sonically, this sounds compressed and lacking dynamic range and depth sounding inorganic and unnatural. I haven’t heard an original but will compare to the originals I do have that feature vanniers work and tonally they sound very different. This reissue sounds like it’s processed through the lens of the era which it was released that’s not to say it’s not a wonderful record it most certainly is but personally I think it lacks the vibrancy and depth of some of the best modern reissues of comparable artists of the era. I would love finders keepers or anyone to revisit this and make the record sound EXACTLY the same as the original as I cannot afford to buy one.
