Anyone who says the repress is distorted, proves that they have never heard the original.
The original sounds just the same, very noisy and distorted, mindsearch and catastrophe have to be mixed with super clean tracks or it sounds chaotic. -
20 years ago I typed Detroit Techno in discogs search and this was the first record listed at the top, that's how I found out about it.
It's quite obscure in the grand scale of things as said below.
Its probably my favourite record of 1991, test press 1990 I know. -
I have an original pressing of this and I’ve compared it to the repress and can assure you the repress is excellent. Take no notice of the negative comments below as they don’t know what they are taking about. -
Unfortunately the repress of this record is really bad. Maybe its just my copy.... almost unplayable -
Edited 7 years agoFound my copy years ago for few quid and I've never knew this before... only after i've listened it, I understood how incredible this record is.

Re-issue coming it seams, on Sound Metaphors. Check Juno website. Seems this label will be giving the reissue treatment to some old timeless unafordable holy grails such as this one. -

Sublime and quite obscure Detroit techno 3-tracker from the golden age, this is one to play to introduce newbies to that genre : blissfull and groovy, dreamy yet metallic, futuristic yet melancholic, soulful and electronic, this is delightlful machine dance music with a second layer of dephth ideal for contemplation, that could only have been produced on that place at that time (eventhough there have been very good homages and descendants all around the world since then). A beauty!
