Edited one year agoThis pressing is spectacular. Those who know, know. One of the top 5 most ethereal sounding vocal recordings in my collection. If you love her voice, you'll love this copy.
I'll spill the beans a little bit on this particular pressing, since this album is having a bit of a resurgance and I want more people to be able to get their hands on it for cheaper. It's the same DMM cut as the more expensive versions, just packaged up in a Columbia House sleeve and pressed by an actual GOOD Canadian pressing plant, on really quiet vinyl. It's a nice glossy sleeve, too, like that expensive US Speciality Pressing that everyone is paying out the arse for. But this is cheaper. You only have to deal with 'Columbia House' printed on the back. That's the only difference. It's a steal.
Try to find this in the wild. I got it for $50 just last month at a record store in EX condition and it's been a couple months since she performed at the Grammys. This isn't a rare album, it's out there if you have some patience! Do yourself a favor and seek this out....such a good sounding recording and every single song is exceptional. This isn't just the 'Fast Car' album. I could easily rhyme off 5 or 6 songs I love just as much off this album.
