I’ve done this routine before and I’ll do it again, sellers, QUIT listing remixed reissues under the original withdrawn release, look for “Mushroom Records regrets ETC…” on the back cover, if it’s not there, don’t list it here.

First copy I'd bought was on 8-track, long parted with, so a newly-acquired CD I'd programmed to play just like the 1-8 that tape played, and to the nay-sayers, this was a great album despite the label debacle/contract dispute the band was unfortunately mired in--the songs still came out great, and I even have both LP-incarnates, one sporting pictures of the group, and the other serving up those visionary and inspiring lyrics... -- Dave

Magazine album is a bit special treat, it somehow resembles band's effort on their prevoius studio album Dreamboat Annie (watch the rare video Heart - Live transmissions). Album's two hardest tracks (Heartless, Devil Delight) add ion to the selection of songs from the first album. More gentile and delicate songs on this album (Magazine, Without you, Just a wine) show their side to develop complex music and use of variuos instruments for appropriate music details. Hybrid SACD edition of this album is a personal favourite, and great collection of songs from probably most productive period of the original line up. Recommended.

I just found a NM copy at Amoeba today for $8! I’ve been searching for this rare recalled US version for years and was shocked to find it and for so cheap! Hell, the standard copy was double the price which was even more bizarre! I have the European Arista version of the recalled album but to finally have the Mushroom version was like a gift from the Vinyl Gods!

I bought my copy of this original release on Aug. 31, 1977 in a Wherehouse store. It was pulled right after that, I when it came out again the next spring after Heart finished it, it really wasn't that different from the original.
