Edited one month agoBought brand new sealed from Amazon for 31 CAD. Record is slightly warped but well centered. Pressing is not bad, almost dead silent, but there is terrible distortion on the final minutes of A1 and B2. Keyboards are sibilant as hell on A1 (more so than the Qobuz and my CD digital versions). Mixing is not bad either, vocals and drums are pretty clear and present without overshadowing the rest of the mix. Cymbal hits can sound a bit thin/splashy on some ages. Vocals and guitars are sounding more organic/tangible than the digital versions I’ve heard. Bass is visceral and deep. Soundstage, imaging and separation are great enough to be immersive. Not bad overall, especially for the price 4.55 / 5

If you can get thee to a Newbury Comics in New England, USA, you just might find sealed copies of this (with the tell-tale hype sticker, natch) for $55.99. There must have a warehouse find as I've seen them in three different locations in the last month. I even found a sealed copy of the Kevin Gray cut of Yes - Drama for $29.99 as well.

after reading the stellar reviews I'm disappointed. There is plenty of noise here. Sound is not clear like it's under a blanket. Sometimes the vocals are being covered up by the music. The song close to the edge is a fantastic piece of music but it does suffer from over production which makes it difficult to achieve a clear recording. It is what it is

Zero inner groove distortion heard thru headphones.
The bass digs deep and highs sparkle.
Mine is flat, centered and super low noise floor.
If any gen whatever want a time door back to the prog rock era, step thru here. -
Edited 6 months agoI'd actually give this four and 2/3rds stars if that option existed. While compared with a decent first UK pressing in decent condition, this reissue lacks a tiny bit of high-end sparkle (due to the age of the tapes I'd expect, but nevertheless hence not 5 stars IMO), it more than makes up for it by sounding fuller, less strident at high volume, and especially a bit deeper than the original pressing, especially on side 1. On side 2 its advantage over the delicacy sound of the UK pressing, with that bit-more nuanced treble, is more ambiguous, but still, on my tonally fairly neutral-sounding system (perhaps just a tad bright at times), IMO the Bellman cut/this pressing is just wamer, more satisfying listen that draws me further into the music.
Of course, based upon my experience with the latest 45 rpm edition of the Yes Album, when the AP Atlantic 75 RPM edition of CTTE comes out I expect it will reasonably sur both of the ones I've just discussed, expanding the advantages of this Bellman edition, even if only due to the 45 rpm advantage. -
Excellent edition, flat and silent vinyl, very good sound,I have several editions and this is the best, very good price too.

Extraordinaria edición. Sonido contundente con una sensación de presencia de los instrumentos y las voces que lo convierten en una de mis mejores copias en mi colección.

Edited one year agoGreat sounding album, analogue rrepress, no evidence of any inner ring distortion at all, the original pressings of this album had inner ring distortion which was very evident on side one but no other Yes album had this problem, all OG albums from this period overall sound very bright compared to today's recordings.

There was no sticker on front of album on the shrink wrap on my release. Other than that it is identical. Same matrix/runout, barcode and everything. The record plays great.
