    They are 1N-1N right up to at least the 5th label version so they should all sound the same. Still glad to own one.

      My grandad just gifted me his copy of please please me, he said it was one of the first versions and I was absolutely astounded to found it was this copy with the northern soul credits. But I’m wondering how rare is this? Is the dick James credited one rarer?

        This is technically a 2nd Press, but I doubt you'll find many people that quibble over value with any Gold / Black label Please Please Me. If anything, the sources I've been looking at say there were much fewer copies pressed of this edition before the transition to the standard Yellow / Black Parlophone label of the mid-60s (about to 5:1 more rare). To the right collector this would be more valuable than a 1st Pressing.
