Edited 5 months agoJust received my copy from a Discogs purchase. The record sounds incredible. Solid bass! Clear treble. Nice and bright, but not too bright. Highly recommend this pressing.
Update: I love to listen to these albums play while I comment here - Thriller just came on… and I have to say…. WOW!!! It sounds incredible. The mix and master on this really sounds amazing. I think this will be one of my most favorite records in my small collection. -

Idk. This is way too harsh for me. WAY to bright compared to my remaster, your preference but I do not like this.
-
Edited one year agoI had the CBS Mastersound (Thriller) and this regular-degular version absolutely smokes it. The Mastersound might be more clear but this OG has way more dynamics. Ended up selling my Mastersound copy.

Just got a great deal on this used through a Discogs seller and it sounds great on my basic setup, they really knew how to make vinyl back then!
-
This was one of the records that my Mom just gifted me and it sounds incredible! Great dynamics and clear vocals. So happy to have it a part of my collection.
-
Wow… this was just given to me as a gift and it sounds incredible. FULL SOUND with nice punch and crisp vocals
-
I bought the MoFi One Step to "upgrade" from this pressing, and frankly, I like this pressing better. This is an absolutely rock solid version. This cut bumps. IMO the One Step renders with more sterility albeit with a touch more definition.

The contributions by Jeff, Steve, Paul, and Greg cannot be overlooked … these dudes are the definition of professional and funky as hell. Great sounding disc, some sibilance but I’ve heard it for so long it doesn’t bother me. The drum sounds raise my eyebrows more that anything. Bernie did a great job overall Loud and proud .
