It took me this long to realize how similar they and the Ramones and the Clash sound at times. And then, of course there are other times when they are Bad Brains and Bad Brains only.
I personally think that they are the best of the three bands mentioned. Because they are just so blisteringly present & improvisatory in their songwriting & performance. The other two are going down a slalom. These guys are free-forming down a freshly fallen snowy mountain… -

Wow this really sounds amazing. It’s like they got a massive budget to work with and Ludwig mastered it. So glad I bought the OG. pure analog, drums in particular sound amazing.

I wonder if Bad Brains will ever get the masters for the SST releases to remaster like their other albums they are doing now?

Vinyl is the only way to listen to this album if you ask me. The cd and streaming versions are flat and very low volume and this OG version jumps out of my speakers.

Not sure why reggae is added as a genre, there is not a single reggae song on this release. Changed the master but all the individual releases still show reggae and it’s extremely misleading.
