If "The Killing Moon" is regarded as the best song the 1980s produced, then "The Killing Moon, All Night Version" is what the song really deserved: to be taken to another level. It is not just another 9:12 extended version, and it's not a cut and paste sampladelic experience either (go for the ZTT archives if you are into that).
"The Killing Moon, All Night Version" is a completely new experience, using everything you know from the original album version. The same feel, the same atmospherics, the same lyrics, only laid down to a mesmerising nine minutes instead of nearly six. Definitely one of those products of its time when the original artists were ing the process of making the 12" version(s). When a remix was truly a remix from the original sounds and not a reproduction with the original just a sample object.
