Great pressing! After cleaning hardly any surface noise at all and detailed and rich sound. No skips or pops on my copy. Overall very, very happy to have found a pristine used copy of the original pressing. -

Got during the Fat Possum summer sale 2020. Sounds nice overall, there's a bit more surface noise than I would like, particularly an annoying click at the very start of side A. Most of the surface noise is not intrusive though, thanks to the overall loudness of the album. -
Anyone else buy this album and get two side A/B records and no B/C? I am massively bummed out because I was mostly buying it for Stay Down -

Edited 12 years agoSounds like Dr. Oktagon, Madlib and The Roots mixed together. The result however has many downsides on trying-to-sound-big. Maybe it's fully pointed at the American market, but the in your face aproach is so serious it leaves no room for artistic subtleties and introspective moments. I's very varied in sound, yet it is very consistent. The rhymes are often funny and grab attention. The question I constantly ask myself though while listenin: 'Is this music for a commercial of a to big ego trying to sell its status to infinty?' I try not to be bothered and nod along.
