∆ on my Mac pops up when I press these 3 keys at the same time: Option (AKA "Alt"); Shift; D! No idea why everyone writes about "Alt-J". ∆ stands for the Greek "Delta", which was confirmed in an interview by singer/guitar player Joe Newman. Hence, ∆ should be pronounced as Delta! In science, ∆T for example stands for the change in temperature. Very handy to calculate the expansion of a metal in summer vs winter. So, ∆ stands for "change"... Nuff said? BTW, cool eclectic album from these boys!
