Edited 20 years agoTLC's debut effort, "Ooooooohhh...On The TLC Tip" is a crazy and potentially risky album for any artist to introduce themselves to the world with. Luckily for them, TLC's risk payed off and the album was a big hit. From the very moment you first play the album you'll know this isn't your standard R&B-Girl Group offering. This is experimental, exciting, different and VERY TLC and VERY 90's. In fact, I'd go so far as to say this album serves as a perfect time capsule reminding us of what was good and so so loveable about American Urban Music in the 1990's. It's also a reminder of everything that made TLC so appealing. And like them, this CD is a joy. Although it trips up on some weaker tracks along the way it's an overall pleasure.
