Madonna – The Power Of Good-Bye

The original version is very sweet, strong lyrics. In general I think the Ray of Light album is her best but let's focus on this song and the remixes. If you're into downtempo I would really recommand this song but more the Dallas' Low End Mix cause it's roughed up a little but not too much or the Fabien's Good God Mix which is roughed up quite a bit more but that one is more for the audience that accepts a little more than avarage Joe.

The Luke Slater remixes are interesting. The Slater's Filtered Mix is a very unusual remix, it gives me the feeling he already had the song laying around and simply added the vocal before giving it a proper abuse. Although I must it that the continuous bleeping starts to annoy me after a while. The Slater's Super Luper Mix seems a little out of place if you know other remixes of her work. It is a rough techno track that samples a very small piece of the lyrics in a way it's unrecognisable, if you wouldn't know you wouldn't link this to Madonna in any way. I think it's awesome but more his own work than a remix and actually I think it's one of his better works. I would recommand this record to the techno lover just for this remix.
