Universal Indicator – Yellow

Quietly the best in the UI series…. Don’t sleep on this just because RDJ isn’t on it.

Anyone noticed one of the tracks (sorry, not in front of me right now) is like 140 4 on the floor hard acid at 45, but at 33 it's like 100? And like BOWWW BOWWW BOWWW BOWWW just sick. Toggling between the two on phrase is 100% ill.

Absolutel madness - especially for '93. O.1 and O.2 are killer acid gems - not of your regular ilk. This is pure Rephlex mindphuqy. D1 is a more stripped down dark acid cut with a screaming noise - proper. D2 is a more liquidy acid gem - for the X or acid fam. D3 is an over the top banging industrial acid workout - only for the headstrong. Overall - this is a ridiculous EP - in the best of ways. 3 of the cuts are for the perfect moment when you want to make people's heads go batty. Buy it. Play it. 5 stars - all day.

This is the best produced and most interesting of the Universal Indicator series, as it sounds like a much later recordind to the rest of the series.
The Universal Indicator tracks were mostly recorded by Mike Dred years before they were actually released, some as long ago as '88, '89 and were really nothing more than demos and tapes that he had lying around from his teenage years which he managed to release as special imprints much later down the track.
