Ok I finally found my LET IT BLEED og from 69... Crisp, clear (maybe too much on Country Honk, the violon ishhh). The rest sound dynamic and alive. Love it.

So I did a comparison between this pressing and the 2019 remaster pressing that wasn’t marketed as 50th anniversary. Overall, I thought that this pressing was definitely punchier, and the music feels closer to you than the 2019. I was also pleasantly surprised by how much better Country Honk sounded on this Canadian; way louder and could actually hear the instruments in the background. Probably going to have to invest in some cleaning equipment to remove some crackles, but this’ll be my go to from now on

I have a Japanese pressing that for long time it’s my go to copy (perfect in every way) until I got this original Canadian copy, the level of “you are there” sound stage, transparency and dynamic leave my Japanese copy in dust. Wow I never knew Rolling Stones vinyl can sound this good before.

Let It Bleed was, I think, my first Rolling Stones record. I knew their early songs and some later stuff, but this was my first LP that I indefinitely borrowed from my friend's dad. The Stones really were chameleons of genre, and this country-rock album so perfectly integrates their essential sound while also weaving in everything they love about American music. So many classic Stones songs here, but "You Can't Get What You Want" will always speak most to me.

Unfortunately, this early Canadian version is pretty low-quality in the sound department. The sound isn't clearly separated, and it sounds quite flat, with little dynamics. But considering I've had this copy since I began getting into rock music, I probably won't be upgrading to a better copy.
