My copy has weird electronic buzzing/chirping noises interspersed throughout the record. Definitely it is the record and not my equipment.
-
Unfortunately my copy is not good. Some of the grooves appear to be flattened a bit. Trash in the grooves that I can't get out causes skipping in one spot and throughout both sides is a bit of white noise or static that lasts about a half second on every revolution. Really disappointing.

WaxTime concerns aside, this pressing sounds incredible. Very quiet, and overall one of the better sounding records I own. The cover printing is cheap, but the excellent bonus track is a nice addition.

For $17 this LP press sounds Fan-tas-tic! So freaking quiet, I held it up to my light fixture expecting to see through it, like it was a super vinyl. And man, no shortage of bass or full sound to this pressing, it delivers a full range of EQ and sounds pretty damn organic. This was one of the Best Buy’s of 2022, even if the packaging is bare bones. It’s all about that sound at the end of the day.

WaxTime has quite a bad reputation. But this particular release is quite good actually.
Pressing quality is very good. Very silent and no issues whatsoever. Sound quality is very nice and clear as well.
Nothing to gripe about at this price really.
The content itself is of course classic. -
Pretty sure I have this same pressing (as there don't seem to be any other waxtime pressings) but the sticker on mine is different - it's red black and white with a different graphic, otherwise the sleeve is the same. Any chance that could be a different pressing from waxtime?

I received this as a gift. I had avoided Wax Time pressings b/c of the bad press and the repeated claim that they are derived from CD files. And given my experience with Plain Recordings and the dudes with beards, I was through with trying to swim upstream. This is a very nice sounding record, however. The horns are full and dynamic and the vinyl is dead quiet. The bass is a bit recessed, but overall, an involving pressing. (I should note that I have an Avid table and a system to it.) Of course it would be nice to know the source, but the absence of that information doesn't lessen the fact that I find the pressing worthwhile listening. If you're just coming to this LP and want a listen on vinyl that won't bust the piggy, this is a good place to start.
