I recently got a VG+ pressing for a fair price. The sound is a revelation. The Stooges are practically playing in your living room. Amazing 🤩

Edited 9 months agoAMAZING, this one sounds incredible. I have a few reissues and was happy with the sound because this is simply a fantastic (recorded) album; after reading that the original US pressings sound fantastic and finding out that the German pressing shares the same laquers, I was curious; after finding a VG copy I can only confirm how great this one sounds!!! Unbelievable how much better than the reissues; amazing drums and airy spatial 3d sound.

Edited 2 years agoNOTE this pressing as well as the Exulta pressing of the very same year (see that entry) uses the same plates are the OG 1970 US pressing, including the WLP, which are as follows:
Matrix / Runout (Side A runout, etched): EKS 74071 A RE-1 [stamped Artisan logo]
Matrix / Runout (Side B runout, etched): EKS-74071-B [stamped Artisan logo]
Simply amazing to hear, snag one if you can! -
