      Album Revolution # 7:

I have to say that after taking over the music world in the '70's, "Hotter Than July" is the start of the slide by "Stevie Wonder"..... Hey, like I said before, it happens to them all!!!! At least right here, this album is still good enough to be classified as a "Stevie Wonder Classic"......

The album starts off with "Did I Hear You Say You Love Me"....It bumps, but it missed a Crown Jewel treatment...

The 1st Ultimate Crown Jewel, "All I Do", is the best song on here hands down...Even though "Stevie" had great Vocal help from "Ms. Betty Wright", the one and only "Michael Jackson, and his Brothers, "The O'Jay's" "Eddie LeVert and Walter Williams", it was not hard to figure out that "Stevie's" Vocal performance would absolutely dominate (and yeah it's his Record, so it should!!!!)...

The 2nd Crown Jewel, "Rocket Love", is so good, that in my opinion, fits right on in with his '70's classics...The music behind "Stevie", with the Keyboards and Orchestrations, made it sound like you as the listener was riding on that very "Rocket"...

"I Ain't Gonna Stand For It", (the 3rd Crown Jewel featuring "Charlie Wilson" and "Ronnie Wilson" from "The Gap Band") was "Stevie's" contribution to "Country Music", mixed with a whole lot of "Soul"....

"As If You Read My Mind"...Ummm...I debated, and I decided to name this the 4th Crown Jewel...No, it has nothing on the last 3 songs, but the Piano driven track, with Ex-Wife "Syreeta Wright" on Background Vocals, is way too infectious to ignore....

The other Ultimate Crown Jewel, "Master Blaster (Jammin')" (dedicated to the "Ultimate Reggae Master", "Bob Marley", sadly right before his untimely death), was so tight, that everyone who didn't know any better, would have thought that "Stevie" was going to switch to "Reggae"!!!!

"Do Like You", just misses the Crown Jewel mark, even though the story of a young Boy schooling People on how to Dance is entertaining...

"Cash In Your Face", is kind of a sleeper, even though the music is kind of "Funky"...

One of the most BEAUTIFUL Ballads EVER and 6th Crown Jewel, "Lately" (with "Stevie" alone with the Piano and Keyboards), is just the Ultimate Classic...I get that people really cut for "Jodeci's" version (the Live version though), but it has nothing on "Stevie's"...Sorry Guys, but no contest!!!!!!

Now with "Happy Birthday", I hesitated on commenting on this only because I don't celebrate Birthdays...I will say that, it was a great representation on the contributions of "Dr. Martin Luther King"..

Like I said earlier, this album is a little step down, but it was a very small step...So no, it's not a bonified Classic, but because it's "Stevie Wonder", it's still a Classic all the same.....
