Notes

First pressing with all -2 cut sides containing the first version of track C4 (4th Time Around). The song was changed to a different version on -3 pressings with drums re-recorded and the song remixed; there is also an organ-like instrument on the original version likely played by Al Kooper, which was removed. The first version has never resurfaced so it is believed the original organ+drum track was destroyed. (source: Alan Fraser and Roger Ford, see revision notes).

Issued on uncoated red Columbia 2-eye '"360 Sound" STEREO' label with "NONBREAKABLE" below catalog number and "MARCAS (eye logo) REG." on rim which dates to 1966 (source: W.B.). Claudia jacket.

Track A4 title inside gatefold: "One of Us Must Know"

Recorded at Columbia Recording Studios, Nashville, Tennessee.

No comments? Surprised with this being such an iconic album and this pressing an odd limited earliest stereo (all 2s on the four sides - Robbie’s original stereo mix). I have a 2C for all four sides and it sounds a bit more vibrant all around than anticipated (which I like). Interesting editions of Most Likely and Four Time Around among others. The stereo has its own wider feel than the mono in general which is more punchy and powerful. Nice edition to have if you can find an affordable and relatively clean copy.
