Great album but a TERRIBLE press. Many tracks have full skips and pops from awful manufacturing. You’d have thought there would have been better quality control. Such a shame because the mix is fantastic. -
Edited 6 months agoBuyer beware. This album would sound amazing if it wasn’t for the poor quality control at the pressing plant. All the records have many light scratches that cause surface noise throughout. My needle even gets stuck at the end of side A! Terrible Shame because the parts that aren’t scratched are incredible. Very dynamic and full of depth. PT need to rerelease this with a more reliable distributor. -
Musically this is excellent. Ruined by poor pressing quality. My copy has continual surface noise and scratches/pops. Every song marred by multiple defects. Ugh.

I have the same issue as other reviewers. Amazing sound quality let down by damaged vinyl. There are numerous surface marks/scratches on several sides, which produces pops and clicks. Some of these persist through entire tracks. Cleaning them does not resolve the issue as they are damaged, rather than dirty.

What a damn shame.... This may be one of the greatest Live albums ever. But pressing quality is very suspect. I ended up digitizing the songs and used Izotope Rx to clean up all the noise, clicks, pops, hum (yes really), that remained despite several attempts to clean. Sides G&H were the worst on mine. The performances, mix, mastering are awesome..... How about a basic black vinyl pressing from someone like RTI that can handle the job properly?!!! We pay way too much for this crap. PT should be ashamed there is no quality control.

Bought and replaced 3x due to scratches throughout each record that causes ticks every rotation. I don't understand how this is possible on so many copies of this? -
Great material, performance and mastering. Poor pressing. A lot of defects, mostly scratches. It is hard to see them, but possible. I replaced the set several times. Such a bummer for such amazing live show.

Incredible sounding record, the best live performance i’ve heard in vinyl format. And what a great selection of songs. If you are a fan of PT, this is a must have. -
side G (at the middle) lots of clips/pops - professional washing unfortunately it didn't help ! - a shame, because the sound of the vinyl mastering is fantastic !! -
Edited one year agoExecent sounding live record, wonderful tracklist. But my copy has a lot of very audibly clicks and pops. Will return my copy to see if the next is better.
Got another copy and this was fine. Propperly top of my best sounding live records ever. Simply great. Highly recomended.
