I bought the album from Taylor's fan shop on October 27, 2023, and honestly, I never gave it a close visual or acoustic examination. It was cleaned in the Humminguru (ultrasonic cleaner), put into VSS sleeves, and that was it. When I read these posts here, I tested it carefully: there are 1cm wide, light surface scratches on sides A and D that are inaudible. Nevertheless, the record is not free of slight crackles and small pops. I've bought better records. The pressing quality was better in the 80s... -
Edited one month agothis is my favorite pressing of them all, it’s beautiful and I love the cover even more.
But, that was the most difficult hype sticker of my life that I had to toss it because it got ruined, but that’s nobody’s fault but my own 🤷♀️
update: forgot to update as i had yet to spin the record before my original review, but mine sounds like shite from side b to side d. So much static even if i have the volume low, really disappointing it’s still my favorite variant though i hope I can find another replacement copy… -
This is the color I thought of when I thought 1989 before all of the eras tour branding where it’s blue. I always thought this was “the teal album.” The album plays beautifully for me, a few pops every now and then. -

This copy is not the nicest in my opinion.
The first 3 sides sound really good, a little click or pop somewhere is normal imo.
But the vault tracks have a pop every minute atleast and sometimes 2 in a row. Really sad. Luckily i have 3 other variants.
This is my favourite colour though. -

Aquamarines aren't green!
MAYBE it could for a peridot in bright light. But the aquamarine is part of the beryl mineral family. And when beryl is green, it's called an emerald.
(And when it's pink it's a morganite!)

I received my copy today direct from Taylor’s online store. As I do with all my new vinyl, I ran it through the ultrasonic cleaner and put the records into new VSS archival sleeves. The amount of grot that the cleaner removed was startling. But, the result is an almost perfect listening experience. The vinyl is dead quiet and sounds amazing.
The only problem I have is sleeve seam splits. Very disappointing that the quality of the sleeves is very poor. The paper is so thin.
I have ed Taylor’s online store to get replacements. Will come back here with result. -
My copy after I cleaned before playing sounds fantastic. No surface noise or static. The green is very vibrant (much better than the pictures) and overall a great package.
