this is a top killer garage lp. only the weak cover of somebody help me ruins side a. action woman and soul searchin are SMOKIN> original lead player bill stradlof is featured on these. i am not sure what lp westoftheskies was listening to but it sure wasnt aa REAL warrick lp. sadly their 2nd is a sad comparison to this but the tracks as bonus are KILLER> live at the electric circus is AMAZING> chech out the hypnotic shes not there for starts, WOW.

A legendary record; nevertheless, its reputation has dropped considerably in the last years. It was one of the original holy grails of the collector's scene already in the 80s. When I first heard it via an old repro in the early 90s I was disappointed because most of it were covers of well known UK beat classics. I sold it and filed it away as a legend I simply do not get. This was strenghented by Patrick Lundborg's review in the Acid Archives. Out of nowhere, I just found a clean original copy for a price I could not resist (R.I.P., Frank) and was really amazed. Maybe the vibe and sound of the original press (as in most cases far better than on any reissue) may have contributed, but after four listens in a row, I am tempted to say that its original reputation is not just collector legend. The positive effect of the covers is that the songs themselves are great and the Litter do a really great job here; the guitar sound is simply monstrous. This puts you right in the time it was made at. Maybe really one of the top five albums of the garage genre. By the way: I also bought an original copy of their second one together with this and have to say that in contrast to Distortions it is worse than I ed it and really sucks.

i have the original "THE LITTER - DISTORTIONS" on Warick 9445-671 (Yellow label). No jacket included. Is the value for this original really as high as the shown. My copy is "good" at best and as i said no jacket included. i'm not a usual seller on discogs so wondering if it's worth me attempting to it along on discogs? Thanks in advance for any input!
