Limited edition colored vinyl (1,000 copies) in a gatefold sleeve for the first time.
The special editions feature two albums, "Madvillain - Madvillainy" & "Champion Sound", which were released in 2003 and 2004. Stones Throw has added unique features to these editions, such as iconic images of Dilla and Madlib. The design also includes sports-themed custom labels and colors. The design was by Jeff Jank and photography by B+.
To celebrate 20 years of HHV, the team released limited pressings of notable albums in partnership with their favorite labels.

say what you will, i think the variant is sick. of course i’m sure i’m biased, being a a pistons fan. like my Madvillain press, the LPs look a little scratched… it had no effect on playback on that one, so i’m hoping for the same on this. i am bummed that (of course) it has the re-tracked version of The Red.. which really is ass, since the new beat just sounds like a mosquito buzzing.

Just like madvillainy, sounds very good, clean. No surface noise whatsoever.
I like the color choices they went for for these a lot more than the madvillainy ones tbh.
Just wish the OG version of "the red" and "no games" were on here but I can't blame HHV for that. It's still an amazing Collab album by two greats in the genre! -
